Historical Stud Farm and Classical Manor House in Germany

Historical Stud Farm and Classical Manor House in Germany

The German mansion for sale is set in a 245 acre estate located in northwestern Germany.

Rothenhoff was first mentioned in 1230 and has an illustrious history under several nations.

Under Napoleon, the property became an Imperial French domain for a French general, until Prussia sold the estate to a Bremen merchant in 1822.

In 1832 the property was sold to Caeser zu Rokenhoff, who converted the property in 1863 into the manor house which bears his name.

He was the father of Sophie Henschel, a leading industrialist who became the richest woman in Germany.

During the Second World War, the manor house was the base for the Commander-in- Chief of the British Army on the Rhine, and hosted notable guests such as Princess Margaret and Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as General Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Beautifully maintained and nestled in an English park, the manor house has 7 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms across nearly 13,000 sq ft of interior space.
