Canada’s First Certified Luxury Net Zero Home
A project by Claxton + Marsh—also known as Timberworx—this stunning property is Canada’s first certified luxury Net Zero Home, located in the exclusive Heritage Lake Estates enclave in Guelph, Ontario.
The net-zero energy (NZE) home was designed intelligently to reduce household energy needs with on-site renewable energy systems that produce as much energy as the home consumes on a yearly basis.
Featuring a wealth of luxury features like heated patios, walkways, and driveway (a necessity for those Canadian winters), the home has been thoughtfully designed to be both environmentally friendly and luxurious.
The 4-bedroom, 5-bathroom home features floor-to-ceiling windows throughout with automatic blinds, a sleek gourmet kitchen, a screening room and a 280-bottle temperature controlled wine cellar with a black pearl racking system.
With soaring ceilings (from 12’ up to 20’ in some rooms), the home exudes a sense of grandeur combined with a sleek modern style that we love.
The terraced backyard with pool nearly doubles the living space, from 4600 sq ft indoors, to 9200 sq ft. Set on a private 1 acre lot, this custom built home shows that sustainability doesn’t have to sacrifice luxury.
Claxton + Marsh are making waves in the new development space, most recently recognized as being the best in their industry at the 2019 Canadian Home Builders Association (CHBA) National Awards in a number of categories, including workmanship, sustainability, and interior design.
