Historic Tuscan Villa Near Florence Transformed into Luxury Residences
The 16th century Florentine villa stands on the site of a former medieval castle which served as a refuge to the legendary poet Dante following his exile from Florence in 1302.
The villa is named after the Florentine political dynasty who lived there in the late 1700s and extensively remodelled the property with graffito facades and frescoes, in addition to adorning the estate’s English gardens and formal Italian gardens with limestone busts.
Following an extensive renovation, the historic property has been transformed once again into 14 luxury residences offering one, two, or three bedroom apartments with luxurious modern amenities.
Each thoughtfully-designed residence has hi-tech smart home systems and high-end finishes throughout, in addition to spectacular views over the grounds and Florentine hills. The main reception rooms of the villa have been restored to their 18th century appearance and residents have access to these various shared spaces with the Villa Resident’s Club.
Luxurious modern amenities include a year-round swimming pool, tennis court, and a barbecue area with wood-burning oven, in addition to a health spa with a techno-gym, indoor swimming pool, and a spa with sauna, Hammam, and sensorial shower.
The wine cellar, located in a former 17th century olive oil mill, has been reimagined as a meeting place for tastings and events, and residents will be able to enjoy house wine produced on the estate’s vineyards, as well as the harvest from the kitchen gardens.
The 25-acre estate comes with an agricultural park, cultivated with olive trees, vines and lemon trees and offering total privacy in the Tuscan countryside, set near the ancient city of Sesto Fiorentino.
Villa Capponi offers an elevated Tuscan lifestyle, just a 15-minute drive from the Cradle of the Renaissance, Florence, Italy.
