[VIDEO] The Original Scarface Mansion Isn't in Miami...
The mansion featured in the 1983 film “Scarface” isn’t in Miami, Florida but rather in Montecito, California. This 4 bedroom, 10,000+ sq ft estate is surrounded by Persian gardens and a wild number of fountains, set on a private 10 acre lot.
Listed in 2015 for $35 million by the Russian billionaire Sergey Grishin, the property sold to Pradeep Yohanne Gupta, CEO of private Houston-based investment bank IQ Holdings, for a third of its asking price at $12.5 million.
The mansion, named El Fureidis, was built in 1906. Designed by the American architect Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue, the estate is known for its iconic Roman, Persian, Arabic, and Spanish-styled architecture.
